The result of the Revolution was everyone was happy that they were able to over throne King James II and they were able to get there rights back once they had there new rulers. Which the new rulers were Mary and William. The government went from protestant to Catholicism, back to protestant and that made people happier because when James ruled he wanted everyone to believe Catholicism and now one liked that. So when Mary and William became the ruler the people were more comfortable with there rulers and happy to go back to the way Charles had it. England was no absolute monarchy but it did become constitutional monarchy, where it limited the rulers power and actually listened to parliament. The parliament came up with the bill of right and Mary and William agreed to this, the Bill of rights listed many things the ruler couldn't do which were:
- No suspending of parliaments laws
- No levying of taxes without specific grant from parliament
- No interfering with freedom of speech in parliament
- No penalty for a citizen who petitions the king about grievances
The society was pretty successful once William and Mary took the throne because people were pretty happy with the way they were ruling .
